Who I Am
What's important to me is to create space to foster empowerment as well as co-create growth and change at a pace that feels right for you. I believe nobody knows more about yourself than you do. Therefore, I follow your lead and listen to your signs of readiness towards change and self actualization, and gently provide direction as your guide.
Some components to my work values: humor, deep listening, building trust, compassionate, culturally attuned, gently directive when needed, justice and feminist-oriented, anti-racist/oppression, trauma-informed, psycho-spiritual.
Various methods I use: Psychodynamic (tracing childhood experiences to current concerns/dilemmas), Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, somatic (of the body) based, Bilateral stimulation, Neurolinguistic programing, Emotional Freedom Technique (or Tapping) , psycho-education, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and Lifespan Integration.
Self reflection is necessary for me to be there for myself and for others. This is a life practice of mine which I hold very dear. I'm a human being, ever changing, constantly learning and evolving. I show up in sessions, as myself, and am devoted to doing any work to face my own inner wounding and placement in this world- such as continuously learning to decondition from the systems that oppress us all.
